UNDATED (WHTC) -- Ottawa County Treasurer Brad Slagh was at Wednesday evening’s Holland City Council meeting to explain the two-year process to foreclose on properties that are delinquent in property tax payments. It begins with seven first-class notices, followed by three certified notices, a property inspection and posting, publication in local newspapers, a Circuit Court hearing and finally, foreclosure. The property than gets sold at auction.
The next auction is on August 16th and there is a minimum bid on each property which covers the costs to Ottawa County. More information can be found at http://miottawa.org/Departments/Treasurer
