WASHINGTON (WHTC) - Quarterly campaign financial statements were filed with the Federal Election Commission by those seeking the two Congressional seats representing the Lakeshore. Incumbents Fred Upton and Bill Huizenga have raised a total of over 2.5 million dollars thus far, while their primary and general election challengers have collectively garnered around 500 thousand. Upton goes up against Jim Bussler in the GOP primary, with Democrat Paul Clements awaiting the winner in November. Huizenga has no primary challengers and faces Democrat Dean Vanderstelt in the general election.
