DETROIT (WKZO) -- A Wayne County judge says he believes a man accused in the brutal attack of Steven Utash is truly remorseful. Judge James Callahan ordered 24-year-old James Davis to serve five-years probation for his part in the assault.
Davis must serve the first year of his sentence in jail. A second man, 19-year-old Latrez Cummings, was scheduled to be sentenced but Callahan delayed sentencing for one week.
Utash was assaulted in April after he accidentally struck a boy who ran into traffic.
