UNDATED (WHTC) -- If you aren’t currently registered to vote, you won’t be able to vote in the August 5th Primary. If you don’t vote in August, you may not get the chance to express your opinion on Proposition One. This proposition would provide a replacement for funding lost for local governments with the repeal of Michigan’s Personal property tax. Term-limited House Appropriations Committee Chairman Joe Haveman of Holland says, to his knowledge, there is no organized opposition to the Proposition. The personal property tax is used by local governments to fund essential public safety services.
