DORR, MI (WHTC) - The search is on for a hit-and-run driver who left a Wayland man writhing in pain.
State police say that the unnamed 23-year-old victim was walking on the shoulder of 142nd Avenue near the US-131 junction in Dorr around 12:15 on Monday morning when he was struck by a dark-colored passenger car, who continued on westbound towards that northeast Allegan County community. A passerby tended to the ailing man, who suffered non-life threatening injuries.
There was no description of the motorist being sought. The vehicle in question should have a missing passenger side mirror and possible damage on its passenger side. Anyone with any information is asked to contact the state police's Wayland post at 269-792-2213.
