HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) -- The ongoing story of a former City Clerk is still affecting the workings of Holland City Hall. A nearly one million dollar settlement for former City Clerk Jenifer French was approved about a month ago. An arbitrator’s decision had ordered the city to rehire her. The settlement went into effect when French was reinstated and resigned the position immediately. Her former title of City Clerk is now being added to that of current city finance director and treasurer, Tim Vagle. Anna Perales has been serving as acting deputy city clerk since French was fired. Perales is now deputy city clerk.
