SAUGATUCK, MI (WHTC) - A 10 AM ceremony on Wednesday formally renamed the half-acre park at the corner of Butler and Culver streets in Saugatuck in honor of the late Police Chief Lyle Jones. He spent 33 years with the department, 25 of those as its operational leader, until his retirement in 1993. The Jones family, which includes University of Tennessee football coach Butch Jones, is donating 50 thousand dollars to pay for renovating the former Information Booth Park.
