LANSING. MI (WTVB) - Michigan Governor Rick Snyder has signed a package of bills that will let people get physical therapy services without a prescription Under the legislation if a physical therapist determines that treatment is necessary a person can receive services without a prescription for 21-days or up to ten visits.  The governor says that someone can also visit a physical therapist if they are hoping to prevent an injury or promote fitness.

In a statement Governor Snyder says, "These bills will help Michiganders receive preventative care services if they choose, without placing extra monetary burdens on providers."
