UNDATED (WHTC) - Rajai Davis’ grand slam in the bottom of the ninth inning enabled the Tigers to beat visiting Oakland last night, 5-4. The series at Comerica Park in Detroit continues this evening. Coverage on 1450 WHTC begins at 6:40 PM.

Stephen Drew’s single with two outs in the eighth inning spoiled Jake Arrieta’s no-hit bid, as the Cubs righthander allowed just that safety with 10 strikeouts over nearly eight innings in pitching Chicago to victory in Boston last night, 2-0. The series at Fenway Park continues this evening.

The White Sox’ game with the visiting LA Angels in Chicago last night was rained out, necessitating a twi-night doubleheader at US Cellular Field this evening.

Raph Rhymes drove in three runs as the Whitecaps yesterday completed a four-game series sweep of visiting Bowling Green, 8-5. West Michigan hosts Lansing to open up a three-game set at Fifth Third Ballpark this evening.

Jason Ribecky’s grand slam capped a five-run fifth inning for visiting Muskegon as the Clippers downed the Millers in Michigan Collegiate Baseball League action at Boeve Stadium last night, 5-3. Holland plays River City at Davenport’s main campus in Caledonia tomorrow evening.
