NEW ORLEANS (WKZO) -- Dealers will get some help from Ford Motor Company when it comes to making repairs to the new 2015 Ford F-150 pickup.

The trucks will be made of aluminum to cut down on weight and improve fuel economy, but repairs could be quite costly as a result. At the National Automobile Dealers Association's annual convention in New Orleans over the weekend, Ford officials told dealers the automaker will spend up to ten-thousand dollars, or 20-percent, of the costs of training and equipment needed for body panel repairs.

A Ford official noted training, tooling and certification will cost between 30 and 50-thousand dollars per dealership.
