UNDATED (WHTC) -- A hunting accident Saturday afternoon resulted in a 24-year-old Zeeland Township woman being taken to the hospital with a gunshot would. The Ottawa County Sheriff’s Department’s Sergeant Greg Rotman says deputies were dispatched to Zeeland Community Hospital who reported an accidental shooting. Rotman says the husband was shoooting at a rabbit and did not see his wife in the line of fire. She was later taken by Aero Med to Spectrum Butterworth Hospital. The investigation into the shooting continues. The Sheriff’s Department has not released the couple’s names or the extent of the injuries.
