UNDATED (WHTC) -- Flu season is in full bloom and those in the medical field say that there’s still time to get your flu shot and hopefully lessen the effects if you do catch it. Joe Bonello of Holland Hospital says the number of flu cases that they are seeing is on the increase. Just yesterday, the Health Department updated the status from regional flu activity to widespread flu activity, which is the highest rating, so Bonello says the flu is defintely out there. He also says the best way to treat the flu is get plenty of rest, stay hydrated and most importantly, stay home if you can so you don’t pass the flu on to others.
