Congressman Levin talks unemployment benefits

U.S. House Ways and Means Committee Chairman Rep. Sander Levin (D-MI) speaks during the Reuters Financial Regulation Summit in Washington

WASHINGTON, D.C. (WKZO) -- Congressman Sander Levin says that it is "outrageous that Senate Republicans turned their back on 1.5-million Americans and their families."  He made the statement after Senate Republicans, again, blocked an extension of federal unemployment insurance that expired on December 28th. Congressman Levin says this is a very sad day for the country and for the people affected by the move. He says that leaving them out in the cold is unconscionable.
