DETROIT (WKZO) -- U.S. Chief District Judge Gerald Rosen says local and national foundations have offered 330-million dollars to protect artwork at the Detroit Institute of Arts and help Detroit's ailing pension funds.  Rosen is the mediator in the City of Detroit's Chapter 9 bankruptcy case.

Rosen released a statement saying that additional money from foundations is expected to be pledged.  Members of several local foundations have formed a committee trying to raise funds to prevent art from being sold to cover Detroit's debts.
