DETROIT, MI (WHTC) - As the Whitecaps look to rebuild portions of Fifth Third Ballpark damaged by fire 10 days ago, the team on the field will have its third skipper in three years this spring. The parent Detroit Tigers had elevated Larry Parrish to Toledo after one season at West Michigan, and today announced that Andrew Graham will be the ‘Caps new manager. The Sydney, Australia native spent parts of two seasons as a West Michigan catcher during his minor league playing career, and has been the Connecticut Tigers’ manager in the short-season NY-Penn League the past three years. Former Tiger reliever Mike Henneman will return as the 'Caps pitching coach, and one-time White Sox catcher Nelson Santovenia is the new hitting coach.
