HOLLAND TWP., MI (WHTC) - The Ottawa County Health Department will open its new Grand Haven offices next month. The department will move into a smaller facility at 1207 S. Beechtree Street on February 3. The county board last year voted to sell its old Health Department building on Ferris Street and lease the Beechtree location, a move officials say will save the county 100-thousand dollars annually. The Grand Haven location, which will be open Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, will include such services as family planning, immunizations, exchanges for syringes that are used at home, and sample bottles for water testing. Other services such as maternal and infant care will be moved to the Health Department’s main office on James Street.
