UNDATED (WHTC) -- Michigan’s jobless rate fell in November to 7.8 percent from October’s level of 8.3 percent. In Ottawa County, the jobless rate of 5.8 percent was an improvement over October, when the unemployment rate was 6.4 percent. Ottawa County employers added 500 new jobs in November and the overall labor force increased by 400 jobs. This information was released on Tuesday by the Michigan Department of Technology, Management and Budget.
