UNDATED (WHTC) -- It’s year 114 for the National Audobon Christmas bird count.  The Holland count is coordinated through the DeGraaf Nature Center and about two dozen volunteers bundled up today to help out.  Nature Center Director Rob Venner says it’s fun to discover different species of birds.  He says they counted bald eales and snow owls and he found a flock of almost two dozen robins.  Venner says the reason the robins are still around becasue of a good summer and that there is still plenty for them to eat.  The Degraaf Nature Center has different programs every week even during the wintertime.  For more information, you can call 355-1057 or go online to degraafnaturecenter@cityofholland.com
