GRAND RAPIDS, MI (WHTC) - Although they apparently helped in prosecuting a drug dealer that they had been stealing guns for, two Grand Haven men will still serve lengthy prison terms. Joseph Sweet and Ronald Cook were sentenced yesterday to 16 and 13 years, respectively, at US District Court in Grand Rapids. They pleaded guilty to charges after taking weapons from federally-licensed firearms dealers in Spring Lake and Muskegon County’s Dalton Township last summer in exchange for cash and drugs. Sweet and Cook were also ordered to pay restitution and to serve three years of supervised release following their prison stints.
