Hope’s women downed visiting Albion on Wednesday night, 69-53, thanks in part to 18 points from Brittany Berry. The Flying Dutch entertain Rochester at DeVos Fieldhouse on Saturday afternoon.

Grand Valley State’s men and women are home to Saginaw Valley State in a basketball doubleheader on Thursday evening.

In state major-college basketball on Wednesday night, Western Michigan won at Ohio U., 73-63, while Central Michigan needed overtime to outlast visiting Ball State, 101-95. On Thursday evening, Michigan State plays at Purdue and Eastern Michigan invades Northern Illinois.

Al Jefferson tossed in 29 points as Charlotte completed a home-and-home sweep of the visiting Pistons by winning on Wednesday night, 116-98. Detroit welcomes Atlanta to the Palace of Auburn Hills on Friday evening.

The Bulls edged the Raptors in Toronto on Wednesday night, 94-92, as Carlos Boozer led the winning effort with 20 points. Chicago is home to Denver at the United Center on Thursday evening.
