Grand Valley State split a basketball doubleheader at Lake Superior State last night. Dani Crandall and Piper Tucker each scored 18 points as the GVSU women took the opener, 72-63. Cameron Merz tallied 29 points as the Soo Lakers won the men’s nightcap, 89-69. Grand Valley is home to Northwood’s teams at the Fieldhouse Arena in Allendale tomorrow evening.
In state major college basketball last night, Michigan State beat Northwestern, 85-70. Detroit visits Oakland this evening.
