GRAND HAVEN TWP., MI (WHTC) - Four persons were hospitalized in a two-vehicle crash south of Grand Haven last night.
Ottawa County Sheriff’s Sergeant Greg Rotman and fellow deputies were called to Comstock Street near 160th Avenue around 6:30 PM. An eastbound van, driven by Pate Denney, lost control and slammed into a westbound pickup, driven by Heidi Dezeeuw. Denney, a 21-year-old Grand Rapids man, along with 24-year-old passenger Courtney Barton of Grand Rapids, who had to be extricated by rescue crews, the 42-year-old Dezeeuw of Hudsonville and her 45-year-old passenger Steven Vanlangevelde of Holland, were all taken to North Ottawa Community Hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
Rotman said that all four were buckled up and that alcohol was not a factor in the crash, which remains under investigation.
