ROBINSON TWP., MI (WHTC) - A 69-year-old Kentwood woman died on Lake Michigan Drive last night.
According to Ottawa County Sheriff’s Sergeant Steve Austin, Brookie Rae Boyer was driving her car eastbound on M-45 and was approaching 104th Avenue, while 24-year-old Stephen Molitor of Grand Haven was headed in the opposite direction. Her Malibu drifted over the center line and slammed nearly head on into Molitor’s SUV; he told deputies that he couldn’t avoid a collision.
Ms. Boyer died at the scene; Molitor was treated at the scene for bumps and bruises. Austin said that road conditions were dry; alcohol was not a factor; and that both drivers were buckled up as the crash remains under investigation.
