UNDATED (WHTC) -- Trouble continues for members of the Kent County Commission with a second member of the Commission facing criminal charges. Michael Jay Wawee Jr., pleaded not guilty during his arraignment Monday on charges of embezzlement from the Roman Catholic Diocese of Grand Rapids. The charges involve gas money or personal property valued at between one-thousand and twenty thousand dollars. A now former member of the Commission, Gary Rolls, resigned after being arrested outside of a county board meeting back in November on four counts of first-degree criminal sexual conduct. The allegations were made in 2012 by a 28-year-old woman who came forward to claim that Rolls had been sexually assaulting her since the age of nine. Rolls attorney says the allegations are untrue.
