HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) - A two-vehicle crash on Holland’s North Side this morning injured two Holland women. According to deputies, 32-year-old Yolando Alvarez-Mandujano wanted to pull out of a driveway onto Butternut Drive near Rose Park Drive around 6:30 AM, but apparently didn’t wait for traffic to clear and drove straight into the path of 42-year-old Sheila Jacobs, who was heading south between Riley and James Streets. The collision pinned Alvarez-Mandujano, forcing rescue crews to extricate her from her vehicle. She was taken first to Holland Hospital, and then sent to Spectrum-Butterworth Hospital with serious injuries; Jacobs was treated for minor injuries at Holland Hospital. The crash remains under investigation.
