BIG RAPIDS, MI (WHTC) - One of two drivers involved in a Mecosta County crash that killed a 22-year-old Coopersville man and his 18-year-old cousin on May 3rd won’t contest charges. Jason Fuentes-Perdomo will be sentenced next month on a misdemeanor moving violation causing death count in a deal with prosecutors that had more serious charges against him dropped. The 18-year-old Wyoming man was driving a SUV on Eight Mile Road and apparently went through a stop sign at Northland Drive, colliding with a pickup truck. Fuentes-Perdomo was seriously injured, while passengers Michael Aguilar and Roman Aguilar-Emmons died. The driver of the pickup truck, 31-year-old Foster Timmers of Cedar Springs, is slated for an October 7th trial on an operating a motor vehicle under the influence of marijuana charge.
