HOLLAND (WHTC-AM/FM) — A two-vehicle crash in Blendon Township left a Grandville man and Allendale woman with non-life-threatening injuries, according to Ottawa County Sheriff’s Sgt. Matt Wildfong.
The crash happened just after 12:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 15, 2018, when Daniel Scheiber, 63, pulled out of the Post Family Farm driveway onto Bauer Road. His vehicle struck a van driven by Tara Scholten, 33. The crash sent his vehicle rolling into a ditch, pinning him inside, Wildfong said.
Blendon Township firefighters extricated him, and he was transported to St. Mary’s Hospital via ambulance with what Wildfong said were non-life-threatening injuries.
Scholten was treated at the scene for minor injuries, Wildfong said, and three children in carseats that were strapped into Scholten’s van were uninjured.
