Tigers, Whitecaps Register Shutout Wins; Chicago Teams Fall


UNDATED (WHTC) - Rick Porcello fired a three-hit shutout, striking out four, while Victor Martinez clubbed a grand slam and drove in five runs as the Tigers won at Tampa Bay last night, 6-0. Jake Peavy scattered 10 hits and struck out eight over seven innings in a return to Chicago, while Travis Ishikawa knocked in four runs, as visiting San Francisco beat the Cubs last night, 8-3. The rubber game of the series at Wrigley Field is this evening.
