HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) - Stabbing seems to be the assault method of choice along the Lakeshore, with one person killed and two other wounded in less than a month in three separate incidents.
There was a fourth last night when Holland Public Safety officers were called to a reported altercation near the corner of 18th Street and Columbia Avenue. By the time “black and white” units arrived on the scene, all of the combatants had scattered, but a short time later, an unnamed 28-year-old man with a stab wound in the chest and a slash to his head was located at a home near 19th Street and Central Avenue. He was taken to Holland Hospital in stable condition.
Officers worked through the night to locate an unnamed 29-year-old Holland man who is believed to have been involved and arrested him without incident; the Ottawa County Prosecutor's Office is reviewing the case and will level charges against him in Holland District Court later today.
