OTTAWA COUNTY, MI (WHTC) -- It’s a done deal. A countywide millage will be on the November 4th ballot in Ottawa County. In a meeting on Tuesday, the Board of Commissioners voted 7-4 to place a 0.5 mill, 10-year levy on the ballot that would generate close to $5-million annually toward road repairs. About 80 percent of the levy would go to the County Road commission with the remainder being portioned out to cities and villages in the county.
