Important Meetings Along Lakeshore on Tuesday

UNDATED (WHTC) - There are a number of important public entity meetings on tap along the Lakeshore today, and concerned residents can, with some effort, attend all of them.

The first is at 1:30 in Ottawa County’s Fillmore Street Administration Building, as Commissioners are expected to formally approve language for a November 4th ballot proposal that would, if passed, levy a half-mill tax over 10 years for county road repairs.

From 4 to 6 PM, M-DOT holds an open house at the Rock Island Family Restaurant to go over three proposals to regulate traffic on M-40 in front of the Tulip City Truck Stop south of I-196, the scene of two high-profile fatal accidents in the past nine years.

At 5 PM, the Holland Planning Commission meets in Council Chambers at Holland City Hall to consider ordinance amendments that would modify and extend “Hope Rules” for rental housing to the entire Tulip City, as well as allow creative murals on buildings in relation to new regulations mandating prompt cleanup of graffiti.
