HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) -- The city of Holland Youth Connections program is proving to be a big success this year. More than 70 at-risk teens are being taught the discipline to get and keep a job. Escape Ministries Executive Director Willie Watt was recognized for his work at Wednesday evening’s Holland City Council meeting. Watt and some of the teens spoke before Council about how Escape Ministries has affected them.
Watt and City Manager Ryan Cotton have set a goal to triple the number of teens in the program, hoping to put 250 at-risk teens to work next summer.
