ALLEGAN, MI (WHTC) - Allegan County Clerk Joyce Watts is blaming software glitches for an inability to tabulate results after Tuesday’s Primary Election. She told M-Live that the AccuVote system her office uses is different than those in Holland and South Haven, who have some precincts in Allegan County, and there was no compatibility among the three programs. Watts’ staff was able to hand tabulate the numbers prior to yesterday afternoon’s Board of Canvassers meeting. Officials of AccuVote say that they will try to resolve the problem before the November 4th General Election. The entire state will be under one voting tabulation system in 2016.
