UNDATED (WHTC) - It was a Wednesday to forget for Lakeshore pro baseball fans.

Brian McCann’s solo homer broke a 1-1 tie in the seventh inning, and the Yankees went on to defeat the visiting Tigers last night, 5-1. The series at Yankee Stadium in New York concludes this afternoon. Coverage on 1450 WHTC begins at 12:40 PM.

Carlos Gonzalez’ two-run homer broke a 4-4 tie and highlighted a six-run sixth inning for Colorado, who went on to beat the visiting Cubs last night, 13-4. The series at Coors Field in Denver ends this afternoon.

Adam Rosales accounted for all of Texas’ offense with two homers and three RBI in the visiting Rangers’ 3-1 victory over the White Sox yesterday. Chicago begins a four-game series in Seattle against the Mariners this evening.
