UNDATED (WHTC) -- In Ottawa County, 1,467 people to date have been identified as homeless at some point over the course of the year. On Wednesday August 13, the Greater Ottawa County United way will be hosting a Project Homeless Connect event at the Midtown Center in downtown Holland to help out those people. The event will feature various free services such as dental check-ups, vision checks and blood pressure and diabetes screenings. Lunch and other personal items will also be provided to those that attend. Event coordinator Lyn Raymond said that they are currently looking for volunteers, specifically hairstylists.
