UNDATED (WHTC) -- Opponents of a 40-unit development on the Point West property in Park Township have hit a roadblock. On Tuesday, justices of the Michigan Supreme Court declined to hear an appeal from residents with ties to older cottages in the area. Macatawa Area Residents for Fair Development still hold out the hope that the U.S. Army Corp of Engineers will reduce the number of docks to go along with the luxury homes that are to be built. The appeal asked that the number of units in the development be reduced to 20. There’s no word on a timeline for the project.
