MIDLAND (WKZO) -- The Mackinac Center for Public Policy is touting a new poll from Mitchell Research and Communications that it says shows voters aren't embracing a possible minimum wage hike. Pollsters found 75-percent of respondents believe small or family-owned businesses will struggle to adjust to higher wages, and 54-percent say if restaurant prices increase, they'll tip less. Supporters of increasing the minimum wage to $10.10 an hour from $7.40 an hour are gathering signatures to put a proposal on the November ballot.
