UNDATED (WHTC) -- An Allegan County man who’s been in prison since 2011 may get a new trial after a ruling by the Michigan Supreme Court last week. The case now goes back to the Allegan County Circuit Court in order to determine if certain evidence was admissible in the case of 47-year-old Eric Robert Kranz. Kranz was found guilty of seven counts of criminal sexual conduct and another count of aggravated indecent exposure after a jury trial in 2011 and sentenced to prison. He appealed that verdict and was denied by the state Court of Appeals last year. Kranz’ earliest release date would be in 2036.
