UNDATED (WHTC) - Rain and cold weather kept the Tigers from playing their game with Minnesota at Target Field in Minneapolis on Sunday. No make-up date was immediately announced. Detroit plays the White Sox in Chicago on Tuesday evening, with coverage on 1450 WHTC at 7:45 PM.

The White Sox used a homer and four RBI from Jose Abreu in downing visiting Tampa Bay on Sunday, 9-2. Scott Carroll tossed over seven innings of six-hit, three-strikeout ball for Chicago, who hosts the Rays again on Monday night.

Starlin Castro cracked two solo homers and Jason Hammel blanked the Brewers on three hits with seven strikeouts over seven-plus innings, as the Cubs won at Milwaukee on Sunday, 4-0. Chicago opens a series in Cincinnati on Monday evening.

Chicago wins the Western Conference Quarterfinals, four games to two, and awaits the winner of the Colorado-Minnesota series; the Avalanche lead the Wild, three games to two going into Monday evening’s contest in St. Paul.
