WASHINGTON D.C. (WHTC) -- Holland City Manager Ryan Cotton and BPW General Manager Dave Koster were in Washington D.C. on Wednesday to sign a letter of intent to compete for the Georgetown University Energy Prize. More than 50 cities will be in the national competition for the $5 million prize. Right now, the competition is in the Application Phase, which could advance Holland to the Quarterfinalist Phase. The quest for the Prize ends in 2017, when one winning community will be awarded $5 million for use on energy efficient programs.
