UNDATED (WHTC) -- A severe weather system raised havoc in Western Michigan on Saturday but most of it happened in the northern parts of the area.  Consumers Energy reported more than 17-thousand customers in Kent County, 600 customers in Ottawa County and many counties to the north and east of the Lakeshore experienced power outages  Heavy rain, lightning and high winds of more than 60 mph knocked down trees and power lines and caused damages to many buildings from Muskegon to Flint.  A Flood Watch remains in effect for Ottawa, Allegan, Kent and many other counties in West and central Michigan until 11 A.M. Monday morning.
