UNDATED (WHTC) -- A credit union robbery became a high speed chase this morning. The Ottawa County Sheriff’s Department is reporting that the Community West Credit Union in Hudsonville was robbed about 10 A.M. by a man dressed as a woman. Employees say the man pulled a handgun and demanded money which he then put in a backpack. A deputy saw a motorcyclist headed west on Port Sheldon St. just minutes later. When he saw the rider toss something resembling a wig, he gave chase, with speeds exceeding 100 mph. The chase ended on Fillmore St. when the rider tried to turn around, lost control and crashed into the patrol car. The 52-year-old Georgetown Township is hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries. Charges are pending.
