HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) -- Hope College is in the middle of their 27th annual Disability Awareness Week. Personal stories of those affected by disabilities are highlighted during the week. Hope College’s Director of Disability Services Louise Shumaker is the coordinator for the events this week. She says that on Thursday, family members of those with disabilities will participate in a panel discussion, “Disabilities Affecting Families.” Samples of some of the questions to be posed to the panel will be what are the struggles and what are the good times. Shumaker hopes people will want to share their stories. The discussion gets underway at 7 P.M. on Thursday in Winants Auditorium.
