HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) -- Last year’s successful Holland Youth Connections Program will be happening again this summer. Youth Connections, in conjunction with Escape Ministries will again work with youths between 14 and 17 years of age. Twelve students had summer jobs last year and the goal this year is to increase the number of jobs for at-risk youth by tenfold. City Manager Ryan Cotton says they have all kinds of things planned for this year’s group.
An anonymous donor gave $35-thousand toward this summer’s program but to meet the goal, more funds need to be raised. If you’re interested in helping the program, you can do so by either via a mentorship or a financial sponsorship. Contact the City Manager’s office at 355-1310 for more information.
