UNDATED (WHTC) -- Ian Kinsler singled home Austin Jackson for the winning run to lift the Tigers to their second straight walk-off win, as Detroit downed Kansas City, 2-1, in 10 innings at Comerica Park. Kinsler accounted for all of the offense. He homered earlier in the game, and finished 3-for-5 for Detroit. Detroit starting pitcher Max Scherzer missed out on the win after eight strong innings. The right-hander allowed just four hits, struck out seven and walked one. Manager Brad Ausmus won a pair of replay challenges. The Tigers play the Royals again tomorrow in a game you'll hear on 1450 WHTC at 12:40 P.M.
The Chicago White Sox overcame a two-run deficit in the ninth inning and pulled out a 7-6 win over the Minnesota Twins thanks to a wild pitch in the 11th inning this afternoon. The Sox will face the Twins again tomorrow afternoon.
