WASHINGTON, D.C. (WKZO) -- General Motors CEO Mary Barra continuing testimony in front of Congress, as she is scheduled to be questioned by a Senate committee on the massive recall of vehicles with faulty ignition switches.

During Barra's appearance in front of a House subcommittee Tuesday, Barra said the company is waiting for the results of an internal investigation on why the repairs, which could have cost as little as 57-cents for each switch, were delayed for years. Barra added that before the automaker's bankruptcy reorganization the company had more of a cost culture then a focus on consumers, but now, GM is "determined to set a new standard" of safety.
