UNDATED (WHTC) -- Springtime is trying to make it along the Lakeshore and if you’re a beekeeper, now is a good time to check your overwintered honey bee hives. With the severe weather we’ve had, experienced beekeeper Don Lam says it’s time to find out what you’re dealing with. If there are still some bees that are alive, you'll want to start them on a sugar water or pollen substitute regimen. Lam says with the rough winter we've just been through he doesn't expect there to be many left alive. For more information on bees in the Holland area, contact Don Lam at 616-335-2707.
