UNDATED (WHTC) -- The Michigan Department of Technology, Management & Budget released a report on Thursday which shows that seasonally unadjusted unemployment rates dropped in all of Michigan’s 17 major labor market areas for the month of August. In Ottawa County, the unemployment rate dropped from 7.7 percent in July to 6.5 percent in August. The rate also dropped from 6.7 percent in August 2012 to 6.5 for this August. Total employment has advanced in the Lakeshore region, with increases being reported in both the Holland-Grand Haven area and the Grand Rapids-Wyoming area.
