UNDATED (WHTC) - The Tigers rode homers by Victor Martinez, Omar Infante and Austin Jackson in a four-run fourth inning to a 4-2 victory at Minnesota last night. With a magic number to clinch the AL Central title at one, Detroit goes for the series win at Target Field this evening. Coverage on 1450 WHTC is at 7:45 PM.

The reason the Bengals couldn't celebrate their third straight division crown last night was Jason Giambi. His two-run homer off of Addison Reed in the bottom of the ninth inning enabled Cleveland to beat the visiting White Sox last night, 5-4, keeping the Indians mathematically alive for the Central crown. The series at Progressive Field concludes this evening.

Gerrit Cole tossed six innings, scattering seven hits with six strikeouts, and added a two-run single to cap a three-run second inning, as visiting Pittsburgh defeated the Cubs last night, 8-2. The series at Wrigley Field in Chicago concludes this afternoon.
