Max Scherzer tossed six innings of six-hit, three-strikeout baseball, and his teammates supported him with an 18-hit attack to give him his 20th win of the season, as the Tigers routed the visiting White Sox on Friday night, 12-5. With a magic number to clinch the AL Central at three, Detroit hosts Chicago again on Saturday evening. Broadcast time on 1450 WHTC is at 6:40 PM.

Atlanta scored four runs on three hits and three walks off of Kevin Gregg in the ninth inning to break at 5-5 tie, and the visiting Braves beat the Cubs on Friday afternoon, 9-5. The series at Wrigley Field in Chicago continues on Saturday.
